Born in Liège in 1972, Belgium. Lives and works in Brussels.

Benoît Gob studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège.

In 1995, he moves to Brussels and takes up theatre studies at the National Higher Institute for Theatrical Arts and Diffusion Techniques.

Benoit Gob slides between genres.

He is actor, performer and dancer, paints, creates collages, designs and builds machines and sprawling installations.

Since 2002, in parallel to his life as a visual artist, Benoit has been collaborating with Needcompany, the Belgian theatre group, as an actor and dancer.

 

From 2011 to 2019 , he’s part of The pogmahon.company, an independent agency for art in the public realm, based in Vienna and working internationally, established in 2001 by Denise Parizek.
